I currently have GEHA(Government Employees Hospital Association) I have
the high option (next year the deductible will be $300 I think, but if you
are hospitalized add another $100. High option if you go to a preferred
provider and hospital will cover 90%. So expect to pay anywhere between
$2500 or more.

I had open RNY on 3/6/02 and I have the standard Federal BC/BS. All my
expenses came to about $48,000--pre-op testing, psych, surgeon, and
hospital bill. I was in the hospital for a week because I had congestive
heart failure a three days after surgery--I also had lots of breathing
treatments and a doppler test for blood clots. My out of pocket expenses
were about $1100. I don't know what the changes are for next years plans.
