just wanted to say, I am 4 weeks postie and i deal with head hunger quite a
bit. what i tend to do is to let myself have a couple of bites of whatever
it is and honestly, it usually makes me sick enough that my brain no longer
attaches that it is so wonderful. What do I mean by that? 3 wks post all
I wanted was KFC. I dreamed KFC. My mouth watered at the commercials...so
i gave in and we went to KFC. I ate 1/2 the mashed potatoes, like 3 bites
of skin off an original breast and maybe 3 bites of the chicken and gawds
did i feel awful. But you know something? I dont crave KFC anymore. My
worst one was chocolate milk..thats like all I wanted for weeks...but i
finally found a way to have it... take 1 table spoon of no sugar added blue
bell rocky road ice cream, add and stir into 2 % hi protien milk. kills
the craving and it doesnt make me sick. i guess the best way is to find a
way where it doesnt feel like you are denying yourself anything. I dont
know about you but that was part of the reason i ended up here...

water, ice chips, popsicles, beef jerky (protein!), and training your brain
to understand that you are not hungry and don't need whatever it is you are
craving.

Here is what I do: If I am craving something or think I'm hungry I wait
10-15 minutes and ask myself, "is this actual hunger or is it in my
head?" During this time, I load up on the water. More often than not,
I won't eat anything until later. If I am hungry and need a snack I make
sure its something with protien. Hope this helps!
