Summer, I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago lap, and I can't tell
you for certain that you can do it that way after open surgery, I can't see
any reason why you couldn't. The incisions for the lap surgery are the
belly button, one on your waist line, one up high near the sternum and I
think one more in your mid belly area. They are tiny, about 1/4 of an inch
or so. I can't imagine any reason why they shouldn't be able to do it.
Plus a lap surgery is much easier on the body, your in/your out ...
sometimes the same day! I wouldn't worry about it at all. Very easy
surgery to get through. Get yourself to a general surgeon because that's
all you need and let them take care of it before they start causing you A
LOT of pain. It can be excrutiating, in case you haven't had an attack
yet. They can save the stones for you after your surgery so you can see
them ... they're kinda cool, look like little rocks =)

My surggeon even does LAP RNY on folks who have had multiple belly
surgeries like the VBG with ceserian. Call around you need a experienced
LAP surgeon. Since your profile is private tell us what part of the country
your in for a surgeon suggestion. Many of us here are post ops and know the
god docs..

yes you can. As long as there are no other issues (ie: your weight is still
to high for lap). Good Luck, sorry that this happended to you.
