Question:
Has anyone tried warming up their protein shakes?
I was having a hard time drinking my protein shakes, so I decided to put the shake in the micowave for a few seconds to get the chill off. The protein shake is really good, kinda taste like hot chocolate. Has anyone tried this, am I defeting the purpose by warming up the protein shake? — TEDDI T. (posted on October 10, 2002)

I mix two scoops Designer whey Natural Flavor (35g protein) with two table
spoons Vanilla International coffee (s/f, decaf) and two equal packs in a
large carry mug. GREAT!!!! just add heated water and go. I mix the dry
ingr. ahead of time and take it with me if traveling. Just don't get it
boiling or it will break up a little. I contacted Des. Whey and the said
it was fine and you can even add it to bake goods.

I heat up 2 oz. skim milk, 2 oz. water, and chocolate protein shake.
Tastes just like hot choc. Yummmmm

I make a drink similar to Mary's. I only use 1 scoop of designer whey
natural and use skim milk instead of water. I put it in the blender and
call it my "Coffee Latte". I love it and drink it in place of a
cup of coffee in the mornings. I also put a cup of skim milk in my freezer
after dinner, for a couple hours. I then put it in my blender with 3
tablespoons dry milk powder and a scoop of Proscore100 chocolate potein
powder(you can add a little splenda or equal if you like it sweeter). It
comes out like a thick milkshake. I look forward to it as my last meal
every night. Good Luck

I use IsoPure protein powder. They specifically tell you NOT to heat the
protein. Apparently the protein loses its' effectiveness. Check with your
specific brand.

Protein is "killed" by heat so you are losing the effect of the
protein. Sorry...
