WEll it helps to be male.:) But I tried to get in exercise EVERYWHERE. Park far and do lots of walking, besides walking every day. I think some loose fast and others slow isnt just what we do but who we are. Like trying to pick our hair color. Some just naturally loose faster... Sorry I dont have a better explnation.

Hi there... I don't know if you would consider me a "fast loser" or not but I have lost 64 pounds in 2 months. I had my Open RNY on August 7th and went from 297 to 233. I try to eat "healthy". I eat Danon Light and Fit Yogurt with a slice of deli ham for break fast (about 3 oz of yogurt and 1 oz of ham). For lunch I will have 3 oz of cottage cheese, another slice of ham and some fresh fruit. For dinner, I will have something like a piece of pork tenderloin, a tiny salad. I have found the key is WATER WATER WATER!!! I try to drink between 2-3 liters of water a day. If I don't...the weight seems to stay there. I also started to go to water aerobics...and recently started on the treadmill and weight training. Hope this helps!!!! Hugs, Kathie (in Hawaii.........)

Im 10 months post op with open rny. I've lost 120 pounds and im 41 years old and female. I will tell you what i've noticed. The first six months the weight flies off. After that it slows down, however doesnt stop. I started at 289 and im at 169. Im medium framed and bottom heavy. I now have 20 pounds left to reach my personal goal and it seems as if i'll never arrive there. Dont.....i repeat.....DDO NOT nibble, it will absolutely sabotage your efforts. I havent worked out tremendously, just walked 2-3 times per week. So i hope i've helped and blessings to you in your weight loss.

I don't know about fast but I'm steady in 24 weeks I have lost 120lbs (was 380 5'7"). I noticed for me exercise is key, when I slack I slow down or stall. I walk basically everyday and take water aerobics twice a week.

Grace I lost 100 lbs by my 4 month anniversary, and a total of 135 since surgery 11 months ago, and I done nothing special. I do not exercise and pretty much eat whatever I want, just limited amounts. I drink only water, and don't eat any pastas, limited breads, few sugars, and only ground meats or deli meats. If I crave something I eat it, I feel if I deprive myself I will only make it worse, and I know how much and what I can an can't tolerate.
