Question:
I am 14 days post-op & today for the 1st time feel tightness in my chest, right above

Good Morning---The only thing that I could think of is are you taking any zantac. I have this problem. I take two to three zantac a day. I would however, call your nurse or doctor just to give you some peace of mind. All the best Sarah

It could be part of the natural healing process. But talk to your doctor or his nurse about any pain that concerns you....

My doctor said my pain (which sounds like yours) was part of the healing process and there was a lot of bruising in that area. I would call him though, to make yourself feel better.

My doctor told me that it could be either the healing process or that I was not getting in enough fluid. I do notice that when I slack on the water, the pain comes back. Open RNY 9/3/02.
