Question:
Anyone have an exclusion in there insurance policy regarding wls?

I have an exlcusion in my policy that states they will not cover treatment for obesity or weight loss whether surgical or medical. My company is self insured, but has Primary Physician's Care Insurance as a third party. Basically my company would be paying for the surgery. Any ideas??    — LISA O. (posted on September 11, 2002)

If your company is self insured then appeal it and point out ALL your co-morbids. Appeal it to the TPA and your employer. Good Luck!
