Question:
How do you figure out the NET CARBOHYDRATE?
I know that it has something to do with the fiber content, but I haven't been able to quite figure it out. Say if something has 10 carbs and 5 grms of fiber, what exactly is the net carbohydrate impact? Thanks! — Ilene M. (posted on September 7, 2002)

Hi, you deduct the fiber grm from the carbohydrate grms. Say something has
10grms carbohydrate, and 5 grms fiber, your net carb, or carbs that will
affect the insulin level is 5grms. Fiber doesn't effect your insulin level,
therefore you dont have to count those grms towards your carb intake for
the day. Hope this helps!:)
