Try Dr. Adam Naaman. I'm not sure what insurance he takes, but I really
like him. I had lap RNY on 9/17/01 - starting weight was 274 and now 11
months out I'm 2 pounds from my goal of 150. His phone number is
713-468-2449 and his website is www.drnaaman.com. Best of Luck!

A friend of mine created a Houston, TX links page and it lists several (if
not all) of the surgeons in the city. Here is the link:

Hi Nancy, I had Dr. Harberg for my VBG in 1997 and Dr. Ferrari with Neweigh
for my revision to RNY in 5/00. I liked both doctors but developed a real
fondness for Dr. Ferrari. You see, I moved 200 miles away from Houston the
day after I got out of the hospital (my husband INSISTED I move to LA with
him immediately after surgery). Anyway.... after I moved I developed a
really bad post-op infection and had to be hospitalized in Lafayette for 5
days. Dr. Ferrari and his nurse called to check on me daily and Dr.
Ferrari was going beserk because he couldn't be there to actually take care
of me himself, only to consult with the physicians treating me. I felt
like he really really cared and that it bothered him to have me so far
away. His nurse, Blanca, told me it was driving him crazy. Anyway, after
all of that I am a big fan of Dr. F. Hope this helps. Neweigh works with
all kinds of insurance so it's worth a call. They fight like the dickens
for approval too and on appeal. Plus they have nutrition counseling and
weekly support group meetings, newsletters, outings and annual parties.
It's a well rounded program. Good luck!
