Raymond, if your doctor and dietician don't have a problem with the beer, and you are getting in your protein, sounds like you have found a de-stress solution that works for you. Others use yoga, exercise, long walks etc to de-stress, you choose your beer. As long as your intake doesn't get out of hand, sounds like you are OK.

I also inquired about drinking alchohol. My sirgeon said the same as yours. No problem. As long as it is no more than one glass at a time - mostly becasue of the caloric content. But even if I wanted to have one glass a few times a week, that's okay. The only thing is, I asked about wine. I am not sure about beer...I still go by the no carbonation rule. Man, oh man...I wouldn't mind having a beer on one of these hot summer days. Enjoy! ~Paula M, RNY 02/14/02, -101lbs.
