Question:
Has anyone with UNITED HEALTH CARE OPTIONS been approved for TT/breast reduct?

I am thinking about the tummy tuck and a breast reduction. I have united health care options. I don't really have problems like rash or anything but have a big apron. Has anyony been approved with UHC? Any help would be appreciated.    — Yvonne C. (posted on July 18, 2002)

I have UHC Select POS and was recently approved for the panniculectomy. I tried for the breasts, batwings and thighs but only the tummy was approved. I have never had any rashes or problems with my panni. it really doesn't hang too much, but there is a lot of excess skin. I saw my plastic surgeon yesterday and he will do the breast surgery (lift and implants) when he does the panni. I will have to take a loan out for the breast part, but the charge will only be $4700. I have seen charges for a lot more than this for the same surgery, so I feel lucky to even get the one item covered by surgery. Good luck!
