Hi Kelly, I live in Va Beach and would love to come visit you in the hospital and help you out with any questions that you may have. How far do you live from here? I would like to invite you to our support group meetings. There are approx. 100 WLS folks that go, including nutritionist, surgeons, and bariatric case managers (RN's) who answer loads of questions!! We have a great time and I would love for you to go. It is at Portsmouth Naval Hospital but 'civilians' are welcome also. Let me know!! [email protected]

I would not volunteer to be your angel (sorry) I have not had the surgery and am just beginning the journey...I really don't feel I would be adaquate but hope that you find someone that can support you..however I live in VA BCH and I am in the process of trying to get approved and can use some helpful info on how tricare works and how the staff at portsmouth naval is and anything else related...please let me know if you can offer some info....Lots of luck to you..stay strong..YOU CAN DO THIS!!! I think the hardest part is getting to the decision to have the surgery...by that time you are so willing to make the life change that you welcome it. My mom had it done a year ago this august and has lost a whopping 90 lbs and looks awesome and feels awesome...she is my living proof of this success. again, lots of luck and god bless
