Question:
My insurance will only pay $15,000.00 for WLS for MO

My insurance company, FirstHealth, will only pay $15,000.00 for WLS for MO. I have found a doctor, Rocky Mountain in salt lake city who will accept my insurance and allow me to pay the difference of $3,000.00 in cash. Rocky Mountain has a wonderfully reputation and charges $18,000.00 for open gastric bypass which should cover all the fees. What I am hoping to find out is if anyone knows of any other doctor who will take my insurance and allow me to pay the difference, and of course I am hoping to find a doctor and hospital that the fees are very close to the price of Rocky mountain. Please don't get me wrong my health is very important to me and I am not only shopping price, I am looking for a professional who has a good rep. and I feel comfortable with, I am just looking to see what my options are. Sound's like a good price to me. My surgeon and hospital bills came to $42,000. What happens if you have complications and have to stay in the hospital longer?
