Question:
has anyone developed appendicitis post op?

I am 3 months post op and starting to do great .. then I developed low right side pain and after 2 days in the ER they figured out I have appendicitis. I had an appendectomy that night now I am in much more pain then aftert the bypass or both c-secions .... I KNEW Gallbladder problems pop up after bypass surgery but never heard if anyone else had an appendectomy?    — Kathy M. (posted on June 10, 2002)

Don't know if it was related to my WlS, but I had an appendectomy approximately 11 months post-op.

I had an emergency appendectomy at 11 weeks post op. I have no idea if it was related or not. The incision was lateral and hurt much more that my RNY incision and i was surprised how long it took me to feel better after the appendectomy.
