Question:
Has anyone's skin changed since surgery?
Post op I haven't changed my routine in cleansing and moisturizing my face and body, but lately I seem to have mild acne. I have blamed it on hormones amuck, but in trying to treat with my old reliable Clearasil my skin reacted horrible, now I look like I have sunburn. Has anyone experienced this change to sensitive skin if so how have you dealt with mild blemishes and acne? — Laurie B. (posted on June 7, 2002)

A similar thing happened to me.For about 2 months post op I was
developing random pimples where I had never had any before - on my
shoulder, the middle of my chest, the back of my leg...etc.I still dont
know why this happened, but I can tell you that it eventually went away. Now
my skin is ever so slightly drier than it used to be.I just used regular
soap.Hope this helps.

HI,
You might want to ask your doc about this one. It is possble that you have
developed roseacea. Roseacea is redness of the face mainly to the cheeks
and nose. I believe that stress can sometimes trigger roseacea in people
who are susiptible to it. Strangely enough, mine has gotten better post
surgery. who knew? You can get a topical creme to take away the redness if
this is the case.
Good luck!
