Question:
dr corella or dr williams from pitts???

Brandy - I was scheduled for a consult with Dr. Williams, but a few weeks before the consult, I received a call from the doc who is doing my surgery; Dr. Robert Quinlan of Shadyside Hosp., but I spoke with Brenda at Williams office and she is a real sweetie! Good Luck Brandy!

Dr. Colella is my surgeon (had open RNY 4-10-02) and he is wonderful. I truly feel lucky to have had him do my surgery. He is so compassionate and listens to any concerns you may have. He explains everything and makes sure you understand exactly what is going on. He will also take all the time you need to answer all of your questions. As far as the surgery itself, he is very, very cautious and meticulous. From the time I went into the OR he had compression stockings put on my legs for circulation to prevent blood clots. After surgery I had Heprin shots to thin my blood to also prevent blood clots. Right before I was discharged I had a Doppler study (ultrasound) on my lower extremities to make sure there were no clots and I also had a swallow study to check for leaks. I really felt I am in good hands with Dr. Colella. He is awesome.

i second the last poster,, i had an r.n.y. open on november the 2nd 2001,, dr colella did my surgery.. i was in a bad accident a year earlier and i needed a hip implant bad, i could hardly walk, most waits can be 6 months or more, he saw my condition, and he fast tracked me, in one month total, i had everything done,,and in the near 7 months i've dropped from 425# to 245# and still dropping,, and i am going back to work june 1st, tomorrow!! the first time in 2 years, dr colella is a caring man, and brenda is great,,you are in good hands..dr, colella is also,, i found out from my county, beaver county, pa,, the support and confidence they give makes this ride worth it,,but one problem,,, i need all new clothes!! no believe me that isn't a problem,, it is a joy to shop these days,,good luck, and god be with you,,, p.s. dr. colella does only r.n.y. open's,, dr. willaims doesn't.. make sure what you want before going to either,,don't know dr. williams,, but love dr. colella..
