Question:
Can you still have abdominoplasty if you had previous complications?
I had a VBG in 1997 and suffered some pretty bad complications (much more detailed in my profile). In the end, I as left open so I could close from the inside out and developed a big scar which looked like a sunken hole. Well, I had a revision in 2001 and it went a lot better. My surgeon even fixed my scar to look somewhat normal. Anyway, I was wondering if the prior complications will make it impossible for me to have an abdominoplasty? Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks! — Michele :. (posted on May 28, 2002)
