I am pre op but I have a problem with the sugars from corn. i am diabetic
and corn runs my sugars up like nothing else! this seems really strange
because when I eat niblets or corn on the cob it goes straight through me.
I asked the doctor about htis and she says it is not unusual. As a result I
try to avoid it.

The more sugars you avoid, the more weight you lose & keep off. That
makes it really simple, huh?

I can eat corn fine. But I can basicially forget weight loss while enjoying
corn on the cob in the summer. :(

I am assuming you are talking about corn syrup? It is basically just
another form of refined sugar, and most RNY's probably should avoid it
because of dumping syndrome.

I have to avoid corn like the PLAGUE!!!!!!!! INSTANT gas and dumping. I
used to love it but it is NOT worth it now! Just my experience......Lisa
PS: corn is hard is not impossible for ANYone to digest......let alone
post-ops.
