Hi! My insurance company is accepting a medically supervised diet
consisting of my being on a low calorie diet with monthly weight checks
with my doctor..I know of several other people who are having to do this
requirement as well and they have a variety of different insurances.I'm
pretty sure that most, if not all do accept this, as alot of people cannot
take diet pills for health reasons.

Like all questions about insurance, it depends on your insurance. However,
I don't remember more than one or two people saying they actually had to be
on any kind of diet pills. Usually if you have to have records of
physician-supervised weight loss, they're looking for records from your
doctor that you came in once every month or so to weigh in and that your
doctor counseled you about going on a diet.
