Question:
Has anyone used Dr. Ballantyne in Hackensack NJ?

Has anyone used Dr. Ballantyne, he works out of Hackensack Hospital in NJ. I can't find any information on him here and was wondering if anyone has an opinion on him. He is one of 3 surgeons I will be interviewing in the next month for RNY. The other 2 are Dr. Silvestri(Englewood) and Dr. Bertha(Morristown). Thanks    — Lisa S. (posted on April 29, 2002)

Hi Lisa, I asked about Dr Ballantyne a little while ago myself. There is not much info about him on this site. There is, however, one woman who used him in the find a doc area. I emailed her and she was so great to answer me right out of surgery! She was very happy with him..thought he was the nicest guy. I have an appointment with him on May 15th. There is just one thing that concerns me. I know he has been doing LAP surgery forever, but I believe he is just beginning to do RNY. I'd be curious to kow what you think about Dr Ballantyne and the other two. Thanks, Marie
