Question:
Anyone try Propel Fitness Water by the makers of Gatorade?
The other day I was in 7-11 and I wanted something to drink. I was tired of water and they didn't have Crystal Lite...everything they had was carbonated except Iced Tea. So, I bought some Propel Fitness Water which was lemon flavored. When I drank some I noticed it tasted sweet. I looked at the ingredients and the second was "sucrose." It had 10 calories per 8 ounce serving. I drank it and didn't dump on it. It tasted like a low-sugar lemonade. Can this be used to get my water in? I know my nutriotionist said zero calorie beverages, but this only has 10. — Lisa N M. (posted on June 3, 2002)

Personally, I thought it tasted awful. THAT SAID...I wouldn't worry about
the ten calories. If you have difficulty getting your water in and this
helps you, go for it.

I tried the Lemon Propel too - it only has 2 grams of sugar which I knew
wouldn't make me dump - HOWEVER - the taste was so sweet it nearly knocked
me out! I couldn't handle something that sweet so I watered it down to
half n' half and was able to tolerate it better.

I LOVE the Propel Black Cherry....it's great... I'm still pre-op, so don't
know if I'll be able to drink it post-op, but for now I really like having
a change from plain water.

I don't like water so every once in awhile I like to have one as a
"treat". It helps add some variety to my drinks.

I just found it two weeks ago and LOVE IT! I've tried the orange, lemon,
and black cherry and like all three so far. I wouldn't worry about 2gms of
sugar and 10 calories. It's more important (to me anyway) to get the fluid
in, and because our selection is limited, I say go for it...
