Question:
Am I eating too much??
I am just 3 months post-op, have lost 62 lbs, but I can eat an entire slice of pizza! I know, I know- pizza is not the best thing for me to eat, but what I'm really concerned with is the AMOUNT! Is this too much?? — Michelle I. (posted on April 11, 2002)

I wouldn't worry about it. I think you will find that some days you can
eat more than others. I know it is that way for me, even now, a year and
months post-op. Some days I can't finish a slice of pizza, and on another
day I can eat 1/2 a small chicken for dinner. By the way, I just looked
quickly at your profile. About the arm skin, I am afraid that my
experience has been that no amount of arm lifts and weights is going to
help. Loose skin does not respond to exercise. Only the muscle tone will
improve with weights. I have 4-5 inches of hanging skin under each arm,
and mine will have to be removed by plastic surgery. Sorry, I hope that
somehow you are more successful than I was, but I wanted to let you know
what my experience was. I am definitely going to have it done, though, or
else some day I am going to knock someone out waving goodbye! LOL!

I am the same way, It just depends on the day as to how much I can eat. But
at 3 months I was worried as well because I coud eat a an entire slice
also. I am 6.5 months out now down 85 pounds. I can still eat a slice every
now and then. But I would not be to concerned lots of us can.

I agree with the other poster, dont worry about it. Some days you can eat
more than others. At 3 months out i could eat a slice of pizza. Most of the
time I dont eat the end crust and sometimes i take off the topping. I dont
get why pizza gets a bad rep. meat, cheese all high protein.

Michelle, I am 3 months post op and I can eat a slice of pizza too.
Somethimes I can eat the crust and other times I can't. So we are right on
target. Good luck!!

I am 6 weeks post op and I can eat a small-medium sized piece of pizza
without the crust.
I dont think your overeating at all!

Just a quick note, if the amount was too much you'd definately be seeing
that pizza again ;) I thought "I'll never throw up. I can eat 3 whole
crakers at 3 weeks out with toppings on them. I can eat a small chicken
leg." etc, then one night, I ate the baked chicken leg and a small
thigh and boy did I see it again. I learned a lesson, if you overeat,
you'll see it. So don't sweat the amount unless you see it again. Then
you'll know "Whoa, too much" :)
