Question:
Can you heat whey protein?

I just tried one that tastes like cold chocolate. Can I heat it? Also, how long after you mix a liquid protein (like proteinex or challenge) is it good for? Thanks guys, I know it has probably been asked before, but I can't find it in the library.    — Cinna G. (posted on April 4, 2002)

I don't know about whey protein, but I heated soy protein and it denatured. It was gross. Don't heat the soy protein!

Heating any protein will cause it to denature and you won't get the nutrition out of it. Cold chocolate is good though, right? :)
