Question:
Can anyone in the Columbus OH area recommend a plastic surgeon?
I'm looking for someone who has experience with a doctor for a bracioplasty (upper arm lift). I've found the pricing can fluctuate greatly and I'm looking to make an informed choice. — Mary B. (posted on April 3, 2002)

Since I'm still about 20 pounds from goal, I haven't had the surgery yet.
I am planning on it this summer. I'm planning on using James McMahan as my
plastic surgeon. However, everyone is different and what one person likes
another might not. You should do a LOT of checking with different plastic
surgeons to see the kind of work they do. Ask to see pictures. Ask for
phone numbers of these people or if they can call you so you can check on
there experience with the surgery AND the surgeon. There have been a
couple of doctors who have seemed like there time is FAR more valuable then
mine. I don't think I want a doctor like that. What if I had a
complication? There are MANY things to consider. Also, make sure they are
American Society of Plastic Surgeons board certified. Good luck to you.

You might also want to ask your WLS surgeon if he knows someone who is
experienced dealing with post-WLS patients and skin/fat removal.

I used Susan Vasko as my surgeon. She is absolutely wonderful and came
highly recommended by all the surgeons I talked to at Riverside Hospital.
( I work there so it was really good for me to get other docs opinions)
Take care

Dr Villalobos did my panniculectomy and brachioplasty all in same day. He
is wonderful and gives a discount to anyone who has lost over 100lbs he
takes $1000 off any procedure so it's around $2000 to get your arms done!
be prepared it hurts!! good luck
