Question:
How am I doing? 3/17 will be 2 months since surgery.
I've lost 50lbs so far. Honestly, how am I doing? Please don't say - well how much would you have lost if you didn't have the surgery? I realize this already. I'm just not sure if I am on track or way off. Some people seem to lose WAAAAAAY fast. — Janice P. (posted on March 11, 2002)

Hi, you are doing great!!!!!! I am 5 months out and have lost 73#. At
three months I had only lost 48 so you are ahead of schedule. Keep up the
good work. And remember the protein and fluids. That is what does it all,
or else it is for me. If I slack off, my weight loss slacks off. If I do
good :) then My weight comes off faster. Good luck and god bless. Open

You are doing great! I had lost 46 lbs at the 2 month mark and am now at 4
months and have lost 70 lbs. I feel I am losing slower right now than
some, but once again, my body is shrinking and catching up with the weight
loss. I am off my diabetes medicine and just last week the Dr. told me to
quit taking my hypertension meds. When you start to feel better physically
and start getting into smaller clothes you will realize that no matter how
much you lose you are much better off than you were at your highest
weight.

hi. deanna & i r not only surgery twins (same date, different drs),
but, we r personal friends. i have lost 54 lbs & 48 3/4 inches in 12
weeks. yes its a few lbs more than deanna's loss but i think she looks
thinner than i do. so i think she has lost more inches than i have. deanna
looks fantastic & i think shes doing a great job. i dont fret about it
& i tell deanna not to either because we r 2 totally different people.
im sure our metabolisms r very different, which will account for how fast
or slow we lose, how many times we plateau etc. but deanna is much younger
than i am so i am sure she will wind up with an amount more lost than i
will. yet, all 3 of us seem to be right on target. u r doing fantastic! 50
lbs at 2 months out is 6 1/4 lbs per week average. thats almost 1 lb a day.
i dont worry about the amount i lose every week, i am just glad to be
losing. have u measured urself? i like measuring myself better than
weighing myself. lbs lost make me lighter but, inches lost make me smaller
& thats my goal. to be smaller. good luck hun.
