Question:
Can I change surgeons after I have done my preops? Will I have to start all over?

That will all depend on the new surgeon and what he requires. I had to
change surgeons because my first surgeon got called up into the reserves.
My new surgeon accepted most of the pre-op stuff from the first one
including endo-scope, psych eval, sleep apnea test, PFT & other stuff.
But required a new EKG (the other one was over 6 months old) and of course
new blood work.

You may also want to give your insurance carrier a call to verify that
their approval can be transferred to another surgeon. Good luck!
