Splenda is a new sweetener. It is made from sugar, but has been altered so
that it doesn't have any calories. You can find it in the same place as
Sweet n Low, Equal, etc.

I buy Splenda at K-Mart. You can find it in the aisles that display
vitamins, protein powders and bars, etc. I haven't checked Wal-Mart, but
they probably carry it as well. I live in Northern Illinois and the
grocery stores here do not carry it yet. Splenda is made from sugar but
processed in a way that renders it calorie free. You are supposed to be
able to substitute Splenda for sugar in any recipe, cup for cup. I haven't
tried it though, so I can not vouch for it's success in that area. I just
use it to sweeten things like oatmeal, decaf iced tea, etc. It tastes good
and I can't detect any after taste like you get with Sweet-n-low or other
similar sweeteners. Best of all, no dumping! Give it a try!

In CA Splenda is sold at Safeway stores and I've also found it at Rite-Aid.
You'll find it near the Equal and Sweet'n Low. It's a "No Calorie
Sweetener", made with sugar. It's really good. I like it better than
Equal...no aftertaste. Hugs, Joy

Sam's Wholesale Warehouse has Splenda. I haven't tried it yet but I heard
it's better than nutra sweet or even equal. I'm going to get some.

Hi Sherry, I've made the switch to Splenda. I've always hated the
aftertaste of Sweet & Low, Equal was a good alternative, but Splenda is
the BEST. Look for the yellow box. It tastes so smooth and like the
others have pointed out, there is no aftertaste AT ALL. You can pick it up
anywhere they sell the other two products.

As the previous posters have said, it's sold in supermarkets now, but if
you can't find it, check out www.Splenda.com.

There are also several products that are made with Splenda, I just bought
the Log Cabin Sugar Free Syrup made w/Splenda, it is very good, tastes
close to the real thing, I read several days ago that someone had paid an
outrageous amount ordering a sugar free syrup that tasted bad, this stuff
is great and only cost 2.89 at Kroger's.There's a list on the Splenda
website of products made with Splenda, not a lot right now, hopefully there
will be more in the future, Can't wait to try pancakes with the family this
morning!

I bought my Splenda at Walmart, for $3.24 for a box equil. to a 2lb bag of
sugar, I use mine with koolaid, it is a little cheaper than buying the
sugar free koolaid, and it does not limit the flavors, you can have all of
them because you now have "sugar" I love it that I can use this
and have no after taste, I buy a box about every 2 weeks. Looking to find
a bigger box. Good luck and hope you enjoy.

I too love and use Splenda. However I am NOT convinced of it's safety. I
went to Splendas web site: http://www.splenda.com/ and see that Splenda
contains "sucralose". I wanted to know more about it so I went
to: http://www.ask.com/ and put "Sucralose" into it's search
engine. Then I scrolled through many pages on Ask Jeeves to check the
various links on Sucralose. This was one of only many of the links:
http://www.holisticmed.com/splenda/ Anyway, at this point I don't want to
go back to sugar, but how safe are we really? I love Splenda, however I do
feel it could be somewhat dangerous. I think years down the road many of us
"may" be having problems. I hope I'm wrong as I love the stuff.

I tried yougart with splenda,, I loved it but it didn't like me. i tried
other things with it only to find out it isn't for me. I got a very upset
stomach and diareah for it. But it seems to work well for others. Just a
word of caution in case anyone gets sick from it!

I love Splenda and use it in anything that I used sugar in (in my previous
life, of course LOL). In addition to the uses mentioned by the other
posters, I used it to make wonderful homemade lemonade .... yum. It is
also heat stable, so you can use it in baked goods. I have used in in nut
breads, SF cookies, baked apples, SF cheesecakes, and sweet potato dishes
with excellent results.
