Question:
This question is for the ladies only, sorry guys but you just can't help.
Has anyone experience a creamy white milkyish vaginal discharge after surgery. This just started. I know it's not a yeast infection. There is no odor and I don't itch. I'm married so I don't sleep around. I am just curious. When I use the panty liners I develop a yeast infection from the constant moisture and plastic backing. I am doing this annon. because, quite frankly it's embarrassing. Thanks in advance. — [Anonymous] (posted on February 21, 2002)

No, I haven't had this, but I do know losing the weight fast dumps estrogen
into our bodies because estrogen is stored in fat. This does cause
hormone's to go nuts, so maybe it has to do with that. I'd call a gyno
anyway.

That kind of discharge can come from a bacterial infection, very common.
It may clear up itself in 10 days, but if it last longer than that, or
worsens or changes in smell occur, see your doctor for an antibiotic.
Women commonly get vaginal infections from something as simple as wiping
back to front instead of front to back. No big whoop, dear.

Hello!! As long as it doesn't smell, itch, etc I would give it a few weeks!
I took hormones to aid in fertility and had the same thing.. I went running
to the dr. thinking something was wrong, but he said changing hormones
could do that! If it isn't bothersome and it doesn't get worse I say ride
it out a week!!!

I had the same thing! I thought maybe it was a yeast infection at
first...but noitch or smell! It went away after about 2 days. I wouldn't
be too concerned.

You probably ovulated. There is often a creamy white to clear discharge
upon ovulation. Some people use this to help determine fertility (the
rhythm method). Your hormones are really going crazy right now, so that is
probably what triggered it. Good Luck!

I had this EXACT thing happen! I went into the doctor and she laughed when
she told me that it was from ovulating. In my 8 years of infertility
treatments I had never experienced what she called "fertile
mucus". I had read about it but never experienced it. If it was the
consistancy of egg whites that may of been what it was.
