Question:
Hi, I am five weeks post op, has anyone had egg foo young from Chinese restaurant?
I was tempted to order egg foo young with no pork and no sauce, I thought it would be a nicer way to eat eggs. I am so bored with my current diet. What are your thoughts? — Marie D. (posted on June 3, 2002)

I didn't have Egg-Foo-Yong, but I did have Egg Drop Soup and I found it
very delicious and low in fat. I have also had other oriental entrees and
generally found them to go down very well, even though I end up taking most
of what ever I order home in a doggie box.

Egg foo young was my first meal out...was delicious...but i soon learned
not to order for myself...was a waste of money. I just eat off my families
plates. 8 months out and feeling great -113 pounds.

I will be 6-weeks post-op tomorrow and I find that I tolerate Chinese food
very well. If you know the restaurant and understand how they prepare their
food, you can make some very smart food choices when eating Chinese.
However, I have only tried seafood and meats...I am trying to stick to my
goal of no rice or pasta. Good Luck!
