Question:
I know what an endocrinologist does now but...

Could anyone tell me step by step what happens? Can thier word bring about a denial for WLS, or is the visit just o rule out physical problems for being odese?    — Caroline C. (posted on February 19, 2002)

The visit to an endocrinologist is to rule out any physical problems that might be causing your obesity. Thyroid problems can lead to weight gain. I'm sure there are some others, but that's what they're sending you to an endo for.
