Question:
Does anyone know if a psychologist in the Youngstown Ohio area that is sensitive WLS

I was going to a psychologist that isn't very sensitive to WLS issues. I know after I have the surgery I will need to talk with someone to help me deal with a lot of my issues in dealing with this new life style. I don't know of anyone specifically. But see if you can find someone who deals with eating disorders. They should be sensitive to issues of eating, body image and so on. You are wise to look for someone now as that will save the time trying to find one post-op. Good luck.

I don't know specifically of a psychologist/psychiatrist in Youngstown that will fit your bill, but I do know of a support group that is active and growing in your area that would be a great resource for you to get in touch with...if you'll email me, I'll pass along the information.
