Question:
4 days post-op, everytime I swallow liquid I get a lot of little air bubbles

I take small little swallows several tiny air bubbles work their way up and I have a small burp. It happens with liquid and the soft diet I am on. Its not painful.. I was just wondering if this is normal?    — Melissa W. (posted on February 16, 2002)

It sure was for me and it continues, I am now 3 wks post-op and I still do it.

Melissa, did you ever get a resolution to your problem and if so, what was it? I am five days post-op and I have the exact same problem you did. I even tried a sippy cup that works with gravity upside down and you have to really suck on the thing, but it should make air but it seems everything does. I actually thought about buying one of those hats with two cans and straws on the side...... gail
