Question:
Is there Liquid Xanax?
Hi All! I am pre-op - surgery scheduled for Feb. 15, 2002. I take Zoloft and Xanax for a panic disorder. Does anyone know how Xanax is given post op? I know that Zoloft does come in a Liquid form. Sure hope I don't have to chew Xanax! Thanks for your help! — Carol P. (posted on January 31, 2002)

i took xanax from the day after my surgery. They gave it to me to help me
sleep. I had no problems swollowing it. I don't believe this comes in a
liquid form however they are so small you shouldn't have problems with them

I have taken xanax for several years. I was off at my choice for about 2
weeks after surgery, I got back on them and I do not have any trouble with
them going down. I take bigger pills than these and my vitamins I cut in
half. Good Luck in your journey.

You can put the tablet under tour tounge (sp) and it will dissolve, plus it
works faster that way.
Good Luck and Congrats on your upcoming surgery

They don't have liquid xanax, and they let me take my xanax by mouth the day
of surgery.I told the doc that i was on 3 mgs a day, so he knew not to
withdraw me, so he used ativan IV push instead.but yes you can put it under
your tongue also if the surgeon will allow that. Good Luck
