Question:

I had a stress test (heart) done in August? Can this be used as part of my pre-op testing? or will I have to go through it again? — Gloria K. (posted on January 29, 2002)

My first surgeon required one, so I had a stress test in August and my
surgery date with him wouldn't have been until April. My new surgeon
doesn't require one. It is unlikely that you will have to have another
stress test, but an EKG is a standard part of the pre-op medical clearance
that you'll have get right before your surgery.

I had one done before I had decided to do surgery, and they let me use the
results of it.
