Question:
Can I have abdomnioplasticy, body lift and breast reduction done at the same time?
Hi, I have been mulling this back and forth in my head for days. My plastic surgeon wants to do all my surgeries at once. Abdomnioplasty, Body Lift and Breast Reduction. He said I would be under about 7 to 9 hours. I asked a nurse that I work with and she said I should be fine. I just dont know if I want to be that long under. I would like it all at once and just get it over with. Just need some opinions. Also if anyone has had these surgeries done can you please e-mail me and let know how it went, and maybe a web page or personal journals to look at. Hey... I had a breast reduction and abdominal plasty all at the same time..
I was under for 6 hours. I did it this was as the insurance company was
paying for the breast reduction and not the other... I think it was a
great way for it to get done and not have to worry about going under again
and again and again.. Good luck to you.. I would go for it... then it is
all done!!!!! My thoughts of course!

I've had all these procedures done and always have more than one procedure
at a time, so don't have a problem with your PS's thesis, but I would
question him a little more closely. I had lower body lift and anchor scar
revision to my original TT (inotherwords, PS didn't have to take time to
retighten the muscles) and for these procedures I was under for 8 hours.
Does her operate as a team to be able to get this much work done so quickly
(and if so, I'd want to know who they are -- I personally only wanted my PS
to touch me). Does he do fine subcutaneous stitching (I think this is the
proper terminology)? This is very time consuming, but highly preferable to
the stapling or usual stitching done in regular surgery. If you are
satisfied with his answers, have seen before and afters of his patients and
talked to at least one or two who have had the same procedure, I say GO FOR
IT. If you have speciic questons about any of these procedures, feel free
to write. At this point I've had everything done there is to do! As with
any surgery, keep doing your homework BEFORE (as you are) to ensure the
best results.
