Question:
Anybody have a recipe for beef jerky?
Does anyone have recipes for beef jerky or any other kind? And how hard is it to make because I am the worlds worst cook? — [Anonymous] (posted on January 23, 2002)

I have seen some of those "Ronco" food dehydrators advertised and
I think they come with a recipe book that contains many recipes for beef
and turkey jerkys. If you aren't planning to buy a dehydrator, you can
probably find a recipe for beef jerky at the public library which carry
lots of specialty type cookbooks. I hope this helps!

If you Love Jerky like me it is wise to invest in a dihydrator, about 39.00
and they sell a Jerky shooter, this is what you put it in to make it round
on flat, and there is a starter kit of spices in it, this cost 13.00 both
at wallmart. American Harvest is the name of the jerky maker and you can
order spices thru the mail that is very resonable. My brother has this and
was making me some jerky but with his jobs and staying busy and me not
getting it when I want it I asked my husband for this for Christmas I made
my first batch and it was so good. I recommen using Hamberger 92% or more
lean beef (you can use dearmeat, turkey whatever) I buy 5 lbs of hamberger
and the packets and follow direction it is really easy than put in the
dehydrator and in 9 hours you have homemade jerky. There is also recipes
how to do fruit and I have done apples, and bannas and they were wonderful,
enjoy and well worth it.

HI, I MAKE THIS ALL OF THE TIME AND MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ALWAYS ASK FOR
THE RECIPE, AND ITS SOOOOO SIMPLE!
1 REGULAR SIZED BOTTLE OF LIQUID SMOKE AND 1 LARGE BOTTLE OF SOY SAUCE, I
KNOW THIS SOUNDS GROSS, CAUSE I HATE SOY SAUCE BUT ITS WONDERFUL, JUST
MARINATE FOR 12 HOURS AND PUT IN THE DEHYDRATOR, ENJOY!
