Question:
I am really getting discouraged!
I had a VBG on 6/13/01. I started out at 255. I am 5'6" tall. I have lost 58# so far. I know this is good, however I wish I could be so much further along. I am scared that my window is going to close before I get all my weight off. I am for the most part halfway to goal. I have increased my protein and my water and have started walking on my treadmill religiously. I have worked really hard for the last 2 weeks and the scale has not moved! What can I do to jumpstart my weightloss again? Any help you can offer is appreciated. I am really beginning to get discouraged. — Keri N. (posted on January 22, 2002)

Keep a food diary for a weeek writing down EVERY SINGLE THING YOU PUT IN
YOUR MOUTH, and see your nutronist for advice. Good luck.

I had openVBG on 06/11/01, starting weight 340lbs, 5'10". I have eaten
no more than 800 calories a day since then, concentrating on the protein
first. I don't exercise much - or at the very least - sporadically. I do
hit those plateaus, not loosing for a couple of weeks, but then it starts
dropping again. I increase my protein and water and it seems to get
jumpstarted.
I am a little over 7 months out now and have
lost 122 lbs....
