Question:
Specific Cravings after Surgery
For the past two weeks I have been on this rasin kick. I absolutely love them! If I want a snack, I eat rasins. Now I am concerned that they may not be a good food choice. I am seven months post op and doing great. I have also grown fond of peanut butter and banana sandwiches (think next time I will put rasins on top of the peanut butter and bananas - yummy!). I haven't had this kind of addition to any one particular food before and I am not expecting. Anyone out there post op who has strange cravings? — [Anonymous] (posted on January 10, 2002)

I hear ya! I'm 3 months post op and been on a fruit kick this week.
Watermelon, canteloupe, nectarines, oranges, strawberries. Can't seem to
get enough!
Hey, at least it isn't fries and icecream! (but they sound good too!)

i thought i was nuts. lol. i crave all the high protein foods i am supposed
to be eating now that i am post op! my favorite candy is sitting in the
refrigerator & i never even think about it. of course sugar for me is a
no no cause i dump on it big time but, i find that thinking about what it
tastes like just doesnt 'turn me on' any more.
