Question:
I have Goodpastures Syndrome...can I still have WLS

I was diagnosed in 1998 with Goodpastures Syndrome. This is an autoimmune disorder. It was detected early and I have no kidney damage. I went through a year of chemo '98-'99. It is now almost 2 1/2 years since chemo and no reoccurance. Will this previous illness stop me from being allowed to have WLS?    — [Anonymous] (posted on December 20, 2001)
