Question:
I get a B-12 shot once a month, per my surgeons instructions
but was wondering how often is too often? I have really been doing it about every 3 weeks, it makes me feel great. Is this too often? What are the side effects, if any, of too much B-12. — Sue B. (posted on December 11, 2001)

Can you tell me how you feel better? I got the B-12 shot, and don't think
I felt a bit of difference. I was going to get another one when the month
is up, but so far, I can't see the benefit. Maybe if you told me how it
made you feel different, I'd know what effect it had on me. Thanx!!!

I give myself an injection every 6 wks and it makes me feel more energy. I
started it per my surgeon's instructions to see if my iron levels would
increase. They were very low but are now normal. I think the shots are
great!

When I get the b12 shot, I feel better within the hour. It kind of feels
like waking up from a nap..more rested, more energy the next day..sometimes
I even feel a gentle surge going through my body. It is hard to
explain..Carolyn

My mother-in-law is quite into "holistic" medicine. She sees the
chiropractor, accupuncturist, massage therapist, chelation doctor, etc...
She takes B12, magnesium, and B6 injections twice a week without any ill
effects. She has done this for years. B vitamins are water soluble and are
not stored like fat soluble vitamins. So, what you don't need will be
eliminated. It will not build up to toxic levels to cause harmful effects.
