Question:
My surgeon requires a 15 pound weight loss before surgery......

I have been doing the Atkin's Diet for the last month and have lost 20lbs. I plan on continuing this diet right up until I have surgery. In the past after stopping the Atkin's I gain weight back so fast. I'm wondering, After I have surgery they will have me drinking juices and other stuff with carbs, will this make me gain weight instead of losing?    — Angie B. (posted on November 15, 2001)
