Question:
HOW MANY PEOPLE WHO'VE HAD A VBG DONE HAD TO GO BACK & HAVE A RNY DONE ?
I WANT TO KNOW WHICH SURGERY IS BEST FOR ME? I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANOTHER SURGERY IF THIS ONE SHOULD FAIL. I HAVE A SURGERY DATE OF 12-10-01 FOR A VBG. I ALSO HAVE A CONSULT FOR A RNY IN OCT. MY INSURANCE ALREADY APPROVED, SO I JUST NEED TO DECIDE WHICH ONE IS BEST FOR ME?!!!!! — Cassandra D. (posted on May 16, 2002)

You said your surgery was set for 12/10/01??? Did you have it already...
if so which did you have? I had a VBG in 1991 and just had to have it
changed over to the RNY..... If I was you I would NOT have the VBG.....
the RNY had much more long term success.....
