Question:
Why does everything heavier than soup/yogurt feel like a rock?

Help. I am almost 3 months Post-op Lap RNY. I was dialated on December 21st. Why does everything sit like a rock in my tummy?? Its horrid. I can eat about 2 oz of baby applesauce, but I do throw up a few teaspoons. I can drink pretty much OK. Sometimes forst thing in the morning even my water bounces back up. Tea seams to be my only friend. Anyone else have these issues. I am getting so depressed...will I ever be normal?????    — August S. (posted on January 3, 2002)

Could you have possibly closed back up? I have heard of people that get a scope done and are back in having it done within a week or two... I would call your surgeon and let him know you are having problems still. You might also still be swollen in your pouch in which you will probably have to go back to drinking liquids for a few days in order to let your tummy settle down. Good luck and definately call your surgeon to let him know what is going on...
