Question:
Can we take TOO MUCH calcium?
I am wondering if we can take too much calcium? I was instructed by surgeon to take Tums after surgery. I am chosing to take 1500 mg. calcium citrate (liquid) from the start. My question though is, Can I take the Tums as well for the first month or two to reduce any acid reflux that I MAY have due to being off my RX for GERD. I realize it may go away immediately but WILL it hurt to take both forms of calcium in the beginning? Am I neurotic or what? :-) Thanks!! — Kelly W. (posted on April 23, 2003)
