Should I cover Incision?

I just got my staples out on Friday and the Dr. said that everything is looking great so far. He covered with steri-strips and told me not to get that area wet for 2 days and than when it starts to peel off just let it. I am worried because the Incision will still be open somewhat and I am concerned about infection. Is there anything I can buy at the pharmacy to cover it for a couple of weeks unitl it starts closing compeltely. I know that I will have to keep changing the dressing but, I was curious to know if someone can reccomend something good to cover it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
