Does anyone have BC/BS insurance through General Motors?

We recently moved from Ohio to North Carolina and our insurance had to change to BC/BS :o( Does anyone have any experience with BC/BS for General Motors (Michigan) for weight loss surgery? If so, I would love to hear about it? I'm worried about coverage...When I call them, I can't seem to be given any straight answers...Everyone seems to give me different advice. PLEASE HELP?
