What could be the cause of this pain?

I am 6 1/2 months postop and yesterday and today in the afternoon I have experienced pain in the area above my bellybutton. At first I thought it was gas but now I'm not sure. It almost feels like someone has hit me in that area it is very tender. I am going back to the Dr next week so if I am still having the pain I will ask him, but I want to check to see if anyone else has had pain like this before. I can't say it is real painful but just an uncomfortable tender feeling.
