Will I be able to sleep in my normal bed after the Lap RNY??

I read very often about the Open RNY and the people have to sleep on the sofa or in a recliner. Is is the same for people who have had the Lap RNY?? Just curious. Trying to decide which will be best for me. Thanks to everyone for their help in my journey.
