Does this have the same success rate/stories as gastric bypass?

I have been all around this site, and have enjoyed it so much I can't put it into words. I can't believe the comraderie and love/best wishes from and for everyone. I live in Canada, and I want the gastric banding. I was hoping I could get some comments from anyone who has had this procedure done. It has been so heartwarming to read comments from all of you out there. You don't know how much I needed to find this site. I haven't an emotional support system. I have cheered and cried over all the highs and lows I have read about tonight. I would especially like to here from anyone who has had this form of surgery with Dr. Joffe (sp?), in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. However, I welcome ANY comments from anyone. I feel like this is going to be good for me. I feel like I actually might have a shot at enjoying life the way I'd truly like. Thank You, Wendy
