is it normal to have a plateau after 8 months?

I stopped losing after 8 months. Only lost 80 lbs. Since then, 9 months ago, haven't lost an ounce. This is very frustrating. Anybody know of this happening to them or anyone else? I feel like after all the pain and grief I was not successful with the rny.
